Post USB Recogntion
Could someone tell me why does Mepis 8.5 recognise but not mount my NTFS USB HDD? I believe the solution lies in configuring udev. That is a little too technical for me. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Can you type this in konsole:
Code:
tail -f /var/log/messages

Then plug in the USB and see if you get any messages (copy&paste them here). To exit from tail -f use CTRL-C

Also, boot with USB drive plugged in and post here the /etc/fstab file.

Hello, Adrian. Thanks for your reply but I am done with Mepis 8.5 (atleast till Mepis 11 Final Version is out). I can not play many new videos in Mepis 8.5, be it FLV or MKV. Am currently using Debian Squeeze. Thanks mate for the help, anyway.
