Code: Select all

${execpi 3 sensors | grep "Core 0" | awk '{print $3}' | cut -c2-3}

for cpu temp. It works for me when acpi fails in newer kernels.

That seems to work just great. Thanks :popcorn:

Believe it or not. Kernels have Funny names also.

This is a script I use to get that name.

Code: Select all

#! /bin/bash
#
[ -h /usr/src/linux ] && namesource=`readlink /usr/src/linux`
name=`grep NAME /usr/src/$namesource/Makefile | cut -c 8-`
echo $name
exit

Make sure when you save the above text file (mine is named kernelname) that you make it executable via permissions (I use only rox file manager)

Code: Select all

Kernel:${exec YOUR KERNEL NAME SCRIPT HERE}

I just save the above script as/in ~/Documents/kernelname

I'll give those a go. Here is how things look for now. Think I need to change the colour of the temp output.

Looking good! I'd add a space too.. the C right behind the number is usually just when you are writing like this: 26C. Written out it is normally with a space: 26 Celsius. :smile:

If you're picky over a pixel, you could spend a lot of time playing with Conky.

Would like to get the Mepis logo and text into the top of my one conky. Must go play :spinning:

Yes. but I it took me a while to find the logo :rofl:

I have something in the works, but I'm trying to get the crackdown font to work with the words Mepis 11. Have the font installed, just looking for the right format.

I'd personally choose another font than blue, but looking great there!
