But we can get them from the ISOs. Do you have any time/interest in following up on this for a Wiki entry?

I can make some research and post here to let you have your pick. There's a lot of information to find and it must be abridged to fit in the wiki format.

There is no hurry, but I think it would be fun to have an entry on the MEPIS logo.

I've earlier tried to find information about the first Mepis logo versions. Can you ask Warren if he has saved prototypes and the ones never used? That's the only source I can think of.
There's a good early interview with Warren made by stibbs (in German). Read it a year ago. But can't find it now, probably used Wayback Machine.

Except the ISOs themselves, right?

I found the interview:
http://www.pro-linux.de/artikel/2/204/m ... rview.html
Hope you read German because this is an early interview (July 2003, but not published until October) giving the background and Warren's hope for the future.
And the interviewer (stibs) later developed SaxenOs, based on Mepis 6.5.

I was thinking of early sketches, ideas that wasn't used, etc. Warren saves original art work, can only hope he did it the early years too.
Here's some early history:
Warren Woodford was recently interviewed by the Planète Linux magazine in France about the past, present and future of MEPIS Linux: "The name MEPIS is the result of a misunderstanding. A friend, Milad Doueihi, and I were planning to start a software company in Paris in 2000. Over the phone, we discussed possible names. I misunderstood in one conversation and thought Milad had suggested "mepis." When I googled the name, it was not being used for anything and it was not even a word in any major, and on the ear it sounded a bit French. So I registered the name and Milad agreed we should call our company MEPIS, SA. But then, Milad's financial backer had problems due to the recession and we did not get funding. I was very disappointed because I looked forward to living in Paris and even had found an apartment one block from Saint Sulpice. Also if that had happened, MEPIS Linux would be a Paris based project."

Thanks, forgot about that, even though I have edited it in the past.

Actually a time-line and a history would be nice. That bit about France is priceless trivia.
