 dedicated repos
The thread about upgrading LibreOffice raised a question in my head about whether we should create a list for the Wiki and Manual of dedicated (single-app) repos. I am just finishing the revised Manual now, so it has a certain urgency for me. My sources.list contains the following dedicated repos: So 2 questions: 1) should we put together and maintain such a list? 2) what other dedicated repos do people have to add? TIA

 Re: dedicated repos
Now that I am thinking about this: we would need also to mention CL Subversion repos, huh? Like this one for Inkscape: svn co https://inkscape.svn.sourceforge.net/sv ... cape/trunk inkscape

 Re: dedicated repos
That gimp is just for 2.7, right? Sort of a different category (app-one_version) again. And I went up a couple of levels and saw that there are many app versions in the same basic repo.
I would want to distinguish a repo like the one for qgis, where releases are automatically included, from that one which I frankly do not understand...

 Re: dedicated repos
Yes, I realized that after I posted and thought you might be going after the "automatic releases" category.

What do people think about the general idea?

 Re: dedicated repos
I think it is a good idea. Ie should include how to get the GPG key for each repo as well.

 Re: dedicated repos
Here's some dedicated repos I use (or have used). Samsung printer driver repo: deb http://www.bchemnet.com/suldr/ debian extra Google Earth repo: deb http://dl.google.com/linux/earth/deb/ stable main Google talkplugin repo deb http://dl.google.com/linux/talkplugin/deb/ stable main The two google repos are added automatically to the /etc/apt/sources.list.d folder when you install the .debs downloaded from Google. Their GPG keys are installed automatically, the keys are embedded in the postinst files. Opera does the same thing with it's repo and GPG key.
