 Palm Centro and M8: marriage made in heavenThis is totally cool! Got tired of carrying around my PDA and a cell phone, wanted a smartphone that would synch with Kontact.
Snooped around the web, finally bought a Palm Centro from Verizon (US$90 with a new 2-yr plan), activated it, connected it to the desktop, saw in dmesg that it was recognized, followed Wiki Palm directions, fired up KPilot, pressed the synch button on the Centro and--SHAZAM!--everything loaded up fine. Tested two-way synch: no problem. Followed bluetooth directions in the User's Manual Section 5.8 (who writes such useful stuff?!) to pair the devices, and I am in heaven. 
Outtasight!! _________________ A Wiki only works when many eyes are on it. 32bit, 2.6.36-1-mepis-pae, KDE 4.6.5, AMD Phenom 9650 Quad-Core, Dell SP2309W with integrated webcam, Nvidia GeForce 6150SE, 4 GB DDR2 |

I'm glad you like the Centro; my daughter wanted one for Christmas, but then changed her mind at the last minute. I'm waiting for the Pre (at least I think I am. :)

The Pre looks like it should be terrific, but I haven't seen a price yet.
