It requires a new gtk, webkit & gdl backported first, and I don't know what else will pop up when I start on those - but since those 3 have jumped to a new library # and so can co-exist with their old versions it looks like it may be possible. Just won't be quick.

Wheezy's GTK libraries would come in handy when GIMP 2.8 is ever released, since it will will need that. There's a newer libglib2.0 in the KDE 4.6.5 repo that a newer GTK would need, also.
