 OpenJDK 7
I need java to run Crashplan, and currently have OpenJDK installed from the repositories. From what I gather, it may be susceptible to the same attacks that have been in the news so much recently. I'm hoping that by being in Linux rather than a Mac I'm safe for now, but I don't know much about this exploit. Is OpenJDK going to be updated to version 7?

 Re: OpenJDK 7
the main issue with java on macs is the slow update cycle that apple has for their software. i haven't seen a lot of info about whether this vulnerability effects other systems, but i would imagine that many of the java hacks might effect linux.
NOW, that said. linux has a much faster update cycle and openjdk isn't under the control of apple, so any vulnerability that may have existed should have been fixed, and an update released.
