Post 4.7.4 anomalies
I've upgraded twice, once using Stevo's instructions, and then again using Tim's, after restoring a previous image. Both methods appeared to go well.

This may be a dumb question, but where is the Kmenu editor? Has it been moved? I've always right-clicked the Kmenu icon and found it there, but now it's nowhere to be seen.

Not sure if this is the situation for you, but I'm running aptosid 11-3 ponos 64 bit at the moment, and on it is is now listed as "edit applications."

Could that be it?

OOPS! Kent was posting when I was editing. Never mind. (lol)

Install the kmenuedit package.

It's now a separate package in KDE 4.7.x, it used to be provided by a different package in earlier KDE 4 versions.

edit: The right-click "Edit Applications" might not show up right after installing the kmenuedit package. I needed to switch KMenu from `Classic Menu Style` to `Application Launcher Style` and back to `Classic ..` to get the right-click "Edit Applications".

You have to either log out & in, or switch the menu style to get Edit Applications to show up on a right click after installing kmenuedit.

Even though it's new package, I thought that it would be installed by default because it's a dependency of kde-workspace. It looks like whatever package provided it previously was still hanging around to provide the dependency when kde-workspace updated...

It is not a dependent, it is only recommended

Here's another minor but persistent malfunction.

After an app is closed, it sometimes remains in the Task Manager. Mousing over it causes it to highlight as usual. It will eventually go away if another (or the same) app is opened and then closed.

This erratic behavior is not repeatable.

That has been around for some time, but it has now been cured in both Debian Sid and Kubuntu, just click on the calender to open it then close it and the app will be removed.

Thanks. I'll try that next time.
