In itself that's very sad, but the many unnamed people in Syria who die while fighting tiranny is a fullblown tragedy. And only their families mourn them.

And that makes me think of the over 30,000 fatalities per year on U.S. highways. And the number of drug-related homicides every year to south of here, in Juárez, Mexico. And other full-blown tragedies that we kinda turn a blind eye to.

And she sacastically said: I will make sure that people will be reminded of that when you pass on.

Sorry folks.. I feel those remarks are kinda uncalled for in a thread like this.

OK, then. Let's all go back to mourning the passing of Whitney Houston.

What, you mean, to the subject announced in the title of the thread?! What a bizarre idea!

It's a pity Whitney Houston died at 48.
Fortunately many of her fine recordings/appearances are still available for people to enjoy. The booze and drugs she used ruined her voice.

I'd say that money and fame were more to blame.

Unfortunately, I doubt very few of the people attending her funeral are actually mourning her death. True mourning is a very private thing. The death of someone you love changes your life forever.
