The Acer pdf file also works here in Okular. One thing to try first is to install any extra Recommends or Suggests for Okular. Running "apt-cache depends okular" results in these Suggests:
so that would be the first thing I'd try. PS. Re: pdf reads in Windows not in Mepis Thanks for the advice, Stevo, but I am now convinced that this particular M11 installation is not worth a rescue attempt - I have obviously wrecked it somehow and the quickest cure will be to overwrite it with a fresh installation.
Another M11 on a different machine here confirms that Okular can read pdfs OK, so I hereby apologize to KDE/Okular for my unkind and and unjustified remarks. |
