 Looking for feedback on mepiscommunity,orgPeregrine has been working with topcat to get his video of M 8.5 on the front page of mepiscommunity.org, replacing the sequence of desktops that has been there for a year and a half.

Take care with that song. It was licensed by MS when XP was introduced. And in general, you cannot use music without the artist's permission, I believe...
Other than that, very nice. maybe do the video in HTML5 / Ogg theora now, and have a WebM-Vp8 video ready to go for the next FireFox update?

I believe that the previous 'changing desktops' had much more appeal.

Looks nice and runs well.
Agree with Carl. Music has to go - it's all copyright. Esp the "Stones: intro. You'd need to get that off ASAP. Saist's idea is a good one. Have a listen to this piece - it's perfect for an OS display I really like the overall idea though. What I'd suggest including -

Too bad the Stones have to go, one of my favorite groups. But I like the new slide show, much more interesting than the changing desktops.
