This is great to see the mepis.org redesign come to reality. It truly shines with this Linux distro. The only recommendation is to change the tiny URL icon from the green check to the mepis icon. Other than that, everything is perfect! Thanks for all your hard work! Very Respectfully, Nats

Yup, can only agree with what's been said. Very slick site One comment is regarding the urls. Is it a drupal thing or can the urls be changed to something more meaningful instead of node6, node32, etc? On a much more general note. I find it confusing that we have four completely different sites concerning Mepis: mepis.com, mepis.org, mepiscommunity.org and mepislovers.com. Indeed, it took me a while to work out that is was mepis.*org* that had changed and not mepis.*com* Is there any scope to consolidate some of them?

Not much:
--mepis.com has nothing to do with us, it is for Warren's commercial work
--mepiscommunity.org has nothing to do with Warren, meaning that we can do whatever we want
--mepislovers.org arose independently, and is currently linked off of mepis.org, and may become another tab. In theory, I suppose it could be someday redirected to a subdomain of mepis.org (e.g., forum.mepis.org)...but I am not sure what that would gain us.

Yes, the site looks great and is easy to use.
But, I agree with Wireman on this. I found the different sites confusing too, when i first started out with Mepis.

Thanks Jerry. It's not a huge deal, just a bit confusing.

Not sure what can be done about it--I think the only real possiblity would be to merge the forum and mepis.org.

jerry this is along the topic that i pm'd you about because i, too, think we need to *eventually* (to be read, long term) consolidate things.
i've a longstanding plea to rebrand mepislovers to something that doesn't have lovers in it so it doesn't get blocked. but that aside, from a branding standpoint i would suggest that longterm goal should be to move things under mepis.org and have the other domains redirect to this domain. mepislovers.org could, for example goto forums.mepis.org, etc.
consolidating the brand will only help to clarify mepis to potential users.
i would also suggest that, as much as possible, that a common look and feel be used for all websites, publications, etc.

As I think I answered, this sort of question belongs to the incoming governing group, not me. That said, Warren's commercial site and mepiscommunity.org have to remain separate AFAIK.
