The revision of mepis.org is up
Peregrine and I went through all the feedback we got on the new mepis.org website, reviewed it, and have enacted at least the gist of many of the suggestions. With Warren's approval, the revision is now up.
Many of the changes will be perhaps hard to see, but some are totally obvious. Two examples:
--the change to the page subtitle: "MEPIS. A Linux Operating System based on Debian"
--a sticky news item that gives a quick overview of MEPIS
Thanks to everybody who gave us feedback, and especially to peregrine who did the work to make it all happen.

I just poked thru a few of those web pages. One concept that maybe could be mentioned/amplified a bit (e.g. in the 'Features' and 'FAQ' sections) would be to put a small paragraph explaining the concept of 'Debian' and how 'Debian-family' fits into Linux. (e.g. or maybe mention that K*Ubuntu and Mepis are similar in that they are both in the same 'Debian-family' (and share the APT packaging system.) Just a thought.

Yup. The latest tweaks are great. Well done all!
I also note that the mepis.org sites are being moved to a new host. Hopefully this will give us more stability. Which sites does this affect?

*sigh* ... this just leaves the Guide site as the ugly one...
Good work on the next Main page.
