 Is everything done for Final?
It seems pretty clear that Warren is intending to go Final this weekend--I notice he didn't even bother making a public announcement of RC3 and I conclude he is saving his thunder for the big show. I am wondering if we have everything to him that he needs now. Items I can think of (and there may well be others): - The final Manual--I will get that to him today
- the final checkaptgpg
- the final Plymouth theme
- the final miniguide
- what else?
We need to get anything outstanding to him before the weekend, seems to me.

Re: Is everything done for Final?
The copyright file in the Plymouth theme package needs some work and there's still a question as to whether the plymouth-x11 package should be added as a dependency. Is the checkaptgpg package destined for final? (I thought it was still going to be a community package). Are the translations correct? I think the French translation has been verified to be correct by Jessminder, I don't think the others have been though.

Re: Is everything done for Final?
Can that be done in time? Yeah, I wasn't sure. I think it should be myself, or at least can be offered to Warren. On language, we can shorten them as Adrian suggested and except for Dutch get an acceptable translation following Jessminder's suggestion.

Re: Is everything done for Final?
I'm not exactly sure what the copyright file should contain. If you (or anyone else) want to take a look at it, it's the debian/copyright file in the source, it's also installed at /usr/share/doc/plymouth-themes-mepis11/copyright. Maybe use something similar to the /usr/share/doc/mepis-desktop-theme/copyright file.

Re: Is everything done for Final?
Sure, just copy that (after correcting typo "comtributed") and ask Warren to review it.

Re: Is everything done for Final?
BTW: I put the final translations of aptgpg in that post, after checking translations against usage on the web. Eadwine will hopefully check the Dutch...

Re: Is everything done for Final?
I guess that plymouth-x11 is only necessary for the preview. Did you take a look at the little package I did of your plymouth theme manager script and EZ switch? It seems the first time we update the initrd file after an install, we need to add a "-t" to the update-initramfs command, though I don't know how to get the plymouth command to use that switch...

Didn't see that go by, sorry. Pretty busy with other stuff ATM, not sure I will be able to touch it before Final.

Re: Is everything done for Final?
IMO, no (it's not ready for Final), unless you're just talking about docs, etc. It needs more polish first. For example, the default KMix config is going to leave a lot of users thinking their sound is broken. See my post on this page about it (also reported in the bug thread for mepis 11 rc2): viewtopic.php?f=20&t=30342&start=140

Re: Is everything done for Final?
Thanks, saw that and will test it here on a fresh RC3 install.
I am talking in this thread about what the Community is contributing, not about what Warren is doing.
