Mepis 8.5 Community Repo: The Abiword Thread
Update, 13 July 2010: I got tired of waiting for Debian to add 2.8.6, so built it from a PPA I found, after verifying that the "guts" of the debian folder were still the same as Debian's.
Please let us know how it works so it can migrate to main...2.8.2 was purged in favor of this version.

Abiword 2.8.2 is now in the main test repo, along with the grammar and mathview plugins. The mathview plugin has a dependency on ttf-lyx fonts, which will be available when Brooko adds that to 8.5, or you can get the package from packages.debian.org or the 8.0 test CR.
Please give this a test and let us know how it works so we can migrate it to main. Thanks!
