MEPIS 8.5 Community Repo: The Seamonkey Thread
Update 2 Oct 2011: bugfix version 2.4.1 now in main testing CR. Update 27 Sept 2011: version 2.4.0, using Firefox and Thunderbird 7 code, is now in the main testing repo. The Lightning plugin is now upgradable to work with it. The en_GB locale is still broken, which is a known problem. Update 9 Sept 2011: Seamonkey 2.3.3 now in the main testing repo, another suggested update. This one gives the Internet Death Sentence to any certs from any DigiNotar-related company. Update: 5 Sept 2011: Seamonkey 2.3.2 now in the main testing repo, and it's suggested that everyone update to it to fix the faked SSL certificates problem. Please let us know about the performance, we want to move it to main ASAP.Seamonkey 2.3.1 (which in Debian is rebranded "iceape") should be appearing in a day or so in the main testing repository. This is the latest release, so be aware that many extensions have not been updated to work yet with this version. There are single-deb packages and source packages for M11, 8.5, and 8.0 in this 172 MB tarball, if you want to jump the gun and install early, just make sure the main and main testing CRs are enabled: https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B1UMhs ... x&hl=en_USAs ever, let us know how it's performing so we can move it to the main CR.
