No screensaver Dell D610 laptop Mepis 8.5

 No screensaver Dell D610 laptop Mepis 8.5I have just installed Mepis 8.5 from the USB ISO and so far everything is working really well. The only problem I have is the screensaver does not work. I have followed the instructions in this link http://www.mepis.org/docs/en/index.php?title=Screensavers but Ido not have all of the options.
Open System Settings --> Display --> Screen Saver I open System Settings then double click Display and I get this screen and there is no option anywhere for screensaver.  Thanks in advance for any help. |

Re: No screensaver Dell D610 laptop Mepis 8.5 First of all, welcome to MEPIS!
 I'm afraid system/display is not the place where you can find screensaver options. You can find them if you right click on your desktop and then from the drop down menu, you choose the last option. Something like "folder view settings." As I'm not sure about that, let me give my Mepis 8.5 live CD a spin to check it out and I'll tell you in a moment. |

Re: No screensaver Dell D610 laptop Mepis 8.5 I'm sorry, I was wrong. You have to go to the bottom of your screen. Then, click on the icon "system settings" (see the yellow arrow in the image attached) and then choose "desktop". You'll find screen saver options there.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |
