 Re: firefox upgrade
You're welcome Meteorite, You might give M11 ago next time you update Firefox and feel the need to reinstall while making a early morning/late night cuppa. You may be surprised with your lappy. Cheers NH

 Re: firefox upgrade
M11 runs just fine on my 1 GB Acer One netbook, so I don't think you'd have any problem. It's even nicer with the KDE 4.7.4 and newer xorg in the community repo, too!

 Re: firefox upgrade
You just got me to try an upgrade on this ASUS lappy Stevo next chance I get.| M8 is good old, you know it stuff, but now that the new KDE is really showing it's true self I'm loving it. Some names have changed, some places have changed, but it does stuff the old KDE3 just doesn't do easily - like dual monitors, wifi. etc... When I want "raze'me'daz stuff" I turn it on, when I want speed and stability I turn off the eye candy. A bit like having a Landcruiser for when it gets tough going [like KDE3], or being able to flick a switch and have a pimped out tricked Subaru [KDE4 with the eye candy]
Any ways we see how it goes later...
Cheers NH

 Re: firefox upgrade
ok thanks again , as a matter of interest can mepis be upgraded from within my current system, or do I need an iso download, I started with mepis7, I tend to get stuck on systems once they work and only upgrade if I have to, in the case of firefox upgrade I needed adblock plus ,but it was not supported by firefox 3 6 5 , so an update was my only option, the ads were driving me nuts , so thats sorted now, my wireless works great on this 8 mepis, ok thanks again Im rambling
