There are several really nice ones there. The lighter ones should 'open up' the Mepis greeting screen.

"clean Air" is a really good one. Elegant. Simple. I like.

I Like # 20 "Modern Housing"-- "White Pyramid" plays tricks with my eyes.

It took me a little while to figure out where the backgrounds were that you all are talking about. I may be wrong, but it appears to me that there are currently four different "sites" that have Mepis artwork:
1. The Mepis Community Artwork Project, which is where the Architectural wallpapers are.
2. The Community Project Artwork Gallery which appears to be on a different website than The Mepis Community Artwork Project.
3. The Mepis Desktop Artwork Gallery, once again on a different website.
4. The Mepislovers MEPIS Community Art Project Forum, a sub-forum of Mepislovers.
I find this very confusing...Maybe we should consolidate all the artwork in one place so users could easily browse thumbnails of all submitted works instead of having to access four different sites. The forum could then be used to announce new submissions to the new consolidated site. I would also encourage duplicate submissions to kde-look.org so we can reach a wider audience.

janthree, The new art gallery: http://www.mepiscommunity.org/artwork-where you can send your wallpapers for M11. It's just a few days old, so the confusion is understandable. The old one isn't in such a good shape that it can be used for anything and impossible to maintain You'll find the address under Announcements in the Art project segment at ML, also in the first post in this thread. A couple of suggestions then...
A couple of suggestions then...maybe we could move the old artwork that is not specific to a Mepis version to the new site so we can consolidate the sites. Also, I was thinking maybe a couple of buttons are needed on the new site that link to the new gallery and the upload area. When I first visited I was mis-lead by the buttons on the left which took me to the old site. It took me a while to realize that the links were in the text...of course, I am sorta slow so I may not represent your average user... :-)
