Post New Wallpaper: Deep Blue Mepis Edition
As promised... Deep Blue Mepis Edition is live and comes in two versions. One with the centered logo and text Like Crimson and one for the right corner crowd. Enjoy!

Also I don't currently have a Mepis installation so I wasn't sure about the spacing of the logo on the corner version. I hope I got it far enough from the bottom edge of the image. If not please let me know and I'll give it another shot. Thanks.

Yea, I actually had the same though when I finished this one. I don't know why, I've just always been a fan of red and black.

Maybe the red is a finer grit or something, at least that is the idea I had.

Can't quite put the finger on it.

In any case, thanks!

Yup. It works better in red.

- Sorry, the discordant voice: I do prefer the blue version. (My car is red, now I'm wearing a red sweater, my ideas are reddish...).
But my MEPIS desktop always have been "deep blue".

I agree with eselma, changing colors isn't easy. Mepis has always been blue on my desktop, feels like something else if I try any other color.
And if you use the Gimp filters to color a red wallpaper blue, the result is grainy. You have to get rid of the red color first and add a blue layer beneath.

I am constantly changing desktop colors. Mepis is not Mepis because the desktop is blue.

Very true, I meant it feels like home with blue. Not from a technical point of view.

I do agree. Personally I do like blue but like to experiment with other colors.

Regarding the Gimp comment. What I did was convert to gray and then color blue when I made the attempt. is that what you meant? The wallpaper was designed to be grainy.
