 program to add titles to pictures in "picture frame"? [Solved]mepis 11
I have an electric "picture frame" to display pictures - no way to show picture titles. It's possible to use GNU image to overlay a title to the top or bottom of each picture (cuts off a bit of the picture). But is there a program that will do this more easily? Perhaps overvlay the file name of the picture, or provide for typing in the title? Thanks for any help. |

Re: program to add titles to pictures in "picture frame"? I know you can do it from the command line with Imagemagick. It's easy enough that you could make a batch file to do it automatically once you've got the parameters right.

Since I'd like to add a title to each individual picture I am looking for a program with a graphic interface which may be easier. I remember having Imagemagick - graphic - on an earlier release of Mepis so am trying to see if that is still available somewhere. I don't remember any of its capabilities. Later..... I found and installed GraphicMagick from here: http://www.imagemagick.org/script/binar ... rlse4#unix The instructions include only how to run this program from a terminal. I was able to write a description on a photo and save it. But I also found it easy to make the picture freeze (altho able to do other tasks). To close the revised picture if that happens I had to log out. |

Re: program to add titles to pictures in "picture frame"? I use Kolourpaint to edit photos. It is similar to Irfanview, maybe better.
Actually, it may be more similar to Neopaint.
