Post Firefox speed up tweeks/hacks
I used to do things like this in the past until a newer FF came out that supposedly didn't need these. I'm wondering what the current thinking is on implementing these changes. Found a post but it dates to '09.

I checked, and most of these tweeks aren't in use on my current FF.

Could I get opinions on this? Thanks.

I tried enabling Google's SPDY in about:config in 11.0, but can't see a lot of changes. There's an extension that supposed to tell when you have that sort of connection, but it never lights up.

I think a lot of it has to do with how you connect. I know none of these tweeks did anything for me while on dialup. Or if they did speed it up it was only by mili seconds which hardly matters when you are waiting minutes for something to show.

I also have not found a speedup that did anything that counted. Just a complication that can cause problems.

Yes, even I am dishonest. Not in many ways, but in some. Forty-one, I think it is.
