 Audacity: wav (wma-proprietary) to mp3 [Solved]Probably a case of overthinking - again
 Simply trying to convert a wav (wma-proprietary) file to a mp3 file Using audacity (1.3.12-beta), got the "none of them understood this file format" error message when I tried to open up the wav file Did a little research and understood that I needed to find the FFmpeg Import / Export Library ( Preferences>Library ). Tried both libavformat.so.52 and libavformat.so.52.64.2 that were in /usr/lib, and neither would load into audacity. Any ideas? Edit: Kernel[-2.6.36-1-mepis64-smp x86_64-] _________________ ...Ostara.................................... minni   ...Mepis 11_64...........................Mepis 11_32 |

 Simply used my trusty VLC Media Player to do the task. Media > Convert/Save .......................  ......................._________________ ...Ostara.................................... minni ...Mepis 11_64...........................Mepis 11_32 |
