KDE 4.6.5 "experimental test" repo update alert

#1 Postby timkb4cq » Mon May 07, 2012 7:36 pm

A new version of gtk+2, a version of gtk+3 and some updated supporting libraries (atk, pango, vala, d-conf, gdk-pikbuf, gail) will be showing up in the "experimental test" repo this evening.
Upgrading gtk2 messes up the look of some apps (including Dolphin) until you reboot. Restarting KDE may suffice but I haven't tested that.

If you have an upgraded KDE box using the "main.mepis-deb.org/mepiscr/kde/ experimental test" repo which you treat as a stable production machine you may want to skip these updates at least until there's been some further testing.
You may also want to reread the previous sentence looking for the inherent contradiction. :eureka:
MSI 970A-G43 MB, AMD FX-6300 (six core), 16GB RAM, GeForce 730, Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD, Seagate Barracuda XT 3TB

Doesn't matter. If something breaks, it will be your fault. :hell:
