They are still having to reinstall the video driver due to the xserver being replaced, aren't they?

I usually wait a day or two before installing any updates. If there's a problem, you'll most likely hear about it here. If there are no problems reported, I take 'em all. I think that may have saved me some grief with the xorg updates.

Yes, the xorg updates have been the only problem (using the CR), and that was kinda expected.

Only if you spit in RFS's eye and use a proprietary video driver  Like lucky9 noted, the rebuild is expected, just like it would need to be done for a newer kernel.
