I would say the Debian security folks updated the plugin in a timely manner (for 32bit anyway) . I just ran (as root) the update-flashplugin-nonfree --install command and it shows that its updated to the latest / most secure version.

Re: Adobe releases more secure flashplayer-plugin 10.1
I am using Mepis 8.0 (32bit). I believe that I installed install_flash_player_10_linux.deb (I could be wrong.) It used to "hang" occasionally when using Firefox 3.5.6. Since I upgraded to Firefox 4.0 last week, that hasn't happened yet. Maybe I just need to give it more time.

Not sure, it does appear that a bugreport has been opened: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=629417

. update-flashplugin-nonfree --install has worked here before, but not now. There is some quick internet traffic, a pause for a second, and then the prompt returns.
I had 10.3.181.14 before. I manually downloaded what they say is the latest. It's 10.3.181.22.
