ne Editor question, MEPIS 8

 ne Editor question, MEPIS 8Does anybody have an idea on how to turn off the colors on this editor
ne 2.1 ? I am editting an AWK script file. This language is not one of the languages supported by this editor. So the color just makes it hard to read. I have already searched through the documentation under the .ne hidden folder. I doubt there is a way to toggle the use of color on/off. But it would be nice, so I just thought I'd ask if anybody has any ideas. I already tried Ctrl-C. |

Re: ne Editor question, MEPIS 8 In the documentation on the ne homepage http://ne.dsi.unimi.it/ there's a whole chapter (3.6) about syntax highlighting. You have to create your own definition if you want anything special and store it in ˜/.ne/syntax

Re: ne Editor question, MEPIS 8 I modified /home/user/ne-2.1/syntax/awk.jsf to make all the non-black colors black. But it did not change the colors the next time I used ne. So I don't understand what the point of this file is.
However, I did change the Konsole background in Settings.....Schema to a light-colored background.That allows me to read the colored text atop a white background. |
