Brother's Keeper runs well in Wine. Also, have you tried Gramps which runs in Linux natively (and is in the Squeeze repo)?

Re: MEPIS 11.0 Community Repo: The Wine Thread
I use Family Tree Maker which I have running on VM. The problem is it needs .netv4 to run. The reason I asked about mono was because of the error message I got when run from konsole. I may try and install .net4 manually & see what happens.

Re: MEPIS 11.0 Community Repo: The Wine Thread
Thanks for the feedback, am currently building 1.5.2. I've just finished uploading Calligra 2.4.0 for M11, which is the new Koffice, too, so watch for upgrades if you use kword, kexi, karbon, krita, etc.

Re: MEPIS 11.0 Community Repo: The Wine Thread
Bump: version 1.5.4 now in the test repo. I added OSS support back for the M11 version to go along with the new pulseaudio patch, just in case Debian users will want it.

Re: MEPIS 11.0 Community Repo: The Wine Thread
I've just installed it and found that one of my programs took about 20 seconds to load, even the cursor didn't bounce to let me know it was loading. Tried a few more times with the same result. I have now reverted to the previous version which loads my program very smartly.

I have not seen that here with the programs I use, which of course are different from yours.

Re: MEPIS 11.0 Community Repo: The Wine Thread
Bump: wine-1.5.7 now in main testing repo. It needs a new wine-gecko1.6 package, also in testing. The new wine-gecko contains only one prebuilt Gecko engine for the latest Wine, as opposed to the earlier wine-gecko version 1.5 which also contains all older versions up to that date. ( and getting bloated). One can have both wine-gecko (1.5) and wine -gecko1.6 installed at the same time. Steve

Re: MEPIS 11.0 Community Repo: The Wine Thread
Bump: 1.5.10 is now in testing repository. It requires a new wine-gecko1.7 package, based on Firefox 14, which has also been assembled and is in the testing repo. If you upgrade to this version of wine, you can uninstall other versions of wine-gecko, unless you're using older versons of wine in "wine-bottles", such as what playonlinux installs.
