Bump: Thunderbird 12.0, rebuilt from the Ubuntu version, is now in the testing community repository.

Upgraded Thunderbird 12 yesterday and it's working fine.

Re: MEPIS 11 Community Repo: The Thunderbird Thread
Is there a corresponding version of the Lightning calendar I can add to this? The latest version for Linux on Mozillas website appears to be Lightning 1.5. Can I install it direct from Mozilla? I found IceOwl or somethingin the cr test repo but not Lightning. Which would integrate better with Thunderbird 12 from the CR Test repo.

Re: MEPIS 11 Community Repo: The Thunderbird Thread
The Lightning extension from the Mozilla website works fine with TB 12. When I built and installed TB 13 last night, there was not yet a compatible version of the extension. Hopefully it will be ready really quick, otherwise, hold off on the upgrade until one is released.

Their website indictes that version 1.5 works with Thunderbird version 13. Did you try it? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/lightning/versions/

Re: MEPIS 11 Community Repo: The Thunderbird Thread
It does say it was released June 04, they must have done it right after I posted! And yes, it does work with 13.0.
In bad news, I can't finish building Tbird and Firefox 13.0 on M8.5. The linker dies with an error about an undefined symbol, making me suspect they really need a newer libglib2.0 or GTK2. It appears M8.5 users will have to use the Mozilla tarball.

Re: MEPIS 11 Community Repo: The Thunderbird Thread
I am having big trouble getting lightning 1.5.1 to work with the community TB 13. Is it working for other people? I have tried adding it in various ways and tried getting rid of old calendar references in the profile. I get the calendar tab and display but every option is greyed out.

Re: MEPIS 11 Community Repo: The Thunderbird Thread
Seems to be working fine on my 64-bit version. Are you also using 64-bit? If so, maybe it's a 32-bit only extension, and I have the correct ia32lib packages installed to enable the 32-bit binary to run correctly.

Re: MEPIS 11 Community Repo: The Thunderbird Thread
Hi Stevo,
I am using 32 bit on KDE 4.7.4. For a workaround I am using Google Calendar Tab but with a laptop which may not always be online it is only a partial substitute.
The connection between lightning and thunderbird often goes flaky for a while.
