Update 15 Feb 2012: Wine 1.4~rc3 bugfix only update now in main testing CR.

Update 3 Feb 2012: Coming up on new stable release, Wine 1.4~rc1 is now in the M11 testing CR.

Update 15 nov 2011: Wine 1.3.32 is now in the testing CR.

Update 7 Sept 2011: Wine 1.3.27 is now in testing CR. It requires and should autoinstall a newer wine-gecko based on Firefox 6 (wine-gecko-1.3.0)

Update 13 July 2011: Latest release 1.3.24 now in testing, 1.3.23 in main.

Update 14 June 2011: latest release 1.3.22 now in main testing repo!

Update: version 1.3.21 now in main testing CR.

Update: Wine 1.3.18 is now in the M11 CR main testing, 1.3.17 moved to main.

Wow--I forgot to add a thread for the M11 builds. Anyway, Wine 1.3.17 development version has been in the test repository for a week or so, and I have the just-released 1.3.18 doing a first build, after adding three patches from the carbon-project's build just for the heck of it (and they have a good reason for them, too). Since I am building 6 versions, they won't be in the repo for a day or two.

Thanks for keeping wine up-to-date.

I'm trying to find a wine that for M11 that will run one of my programs - the program in question behaves faultlessly in the latest wine for M8.5. Strange. :confused2:

Hopefully one of the newer builds will do it.

Thanks.

Stevo, I've just upgraded M11 to the latest wine and all my programs are working well.

Thanks again.

Nice! Thanks for the feedback--and you may want to save the deb of this version 1.3.18, just in case future builds have a regression.

I wonder if the three extra patches made the difference, but it's hard to say.

Hey, Stevo.

Debian apparently packages wine in two separate packages: wine-bin and libwine. Yours replaces them, thus breaking LMMS and possibly a few others that depend on wine. Would you please add wine-bin and libwine to the 'Provides:' section in the debian/control file? Thank you.

EDIT: Sorry, I just saw your post on the RC2 thread. I knew the newer version of LMMS existed in wheezy, but hadn't thought of it. thanks for backporting it!

I have the M11 packages of the new lmms done, there's a 22MB zip file here. They will work with the new Wine in the CR.

https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B1UMhs ... YTc2&hl=en

Install the -common package first, then the main deb package. It now appears in the menu under Multimedia.

Stevo,

I'm recently coming back to Mepis after a couple months of distro-hopping. I'm now dealing with a wine regression with some of the file dialogs in REAPER since 1.3.17, and desparately need a fairly recent build no later than 1.3.16 until (if) the regression gets handled over at WineHQ. You wouldn't have a link to one of your older builds along those lines, would you?

Eric

Thanks
