MEPIS 11 CR (4.6.5 only): The koceansaver Thread
Edit: 8 Jan 2012: new 0.6 version in the KDE experimental CR. Adds rocking motion. It's a screensaver, under the ocean, for KDE. It's Koceansaver! It's in the KDE 4.6.5 experimental repo, and was packaged from scratch (maybe the first debianized package). You will need openGL acceleration to run it, but I noted that the weak 3D openGL driver in Virtual Box was able to run it acceptably. It should appear in the CR tomorrow, or you can get the debs early here: http://ubuntuone.com/10M6Xw3coBcvQ1jRBbmEIF

Re: MEPIS 11 CR (4.6.5 only): The koceansaver Thread
Installed and appears to run OK. But just testing it via the System Setting dialog caused my display to become unstable. But I do not use a screensaver on my laptop, just a battery drainer. And all OpenGL screensavers cause the same problem, so it is not a unique problem with this screensaver on my system. Probably OK for others.
Intel i5 integrated graphics with desktop effects enabled as OpenGL.

Bump: new 0.6 version now in the experimental KDE repo. New feature is adjustable "rocking" motion, as if you are drifting with a mask and snorkel and observing the scene.

Bump: new KDE 4.7.4 0.7 build in the KDE experimental repo. It has bug fixes and adds orca to the sea life.
I have a stock M11 build in the pipeline, too, for use on unmodified M11, coming up soon.
