Mepis 11 and VMWare fusion: problem with default printer

 Mepis 11 and VMWare fusion: problem with default printerI just posted this on the VMWare Fusion forum. Thought someone here might have a comment for me ...
I have a Fusion VM running the latest Meps Linu distro. Everything works fine except for one thing. Whenever I boot up that VM, Fusion sets the following printer as default: tpvmgp://HP_LaserJet_3030:1 That printer is nonfuntional. I assume it's created by Fusion during the bootup. It doesn't print. The printer that prints is the following: hp:/usb/hp_LaserJet_3030?serial=00MXBM104085 Each time I boot that VM, I must change the default printer to the second one you see above. Is there a way stop this from happening? |

Re: Mepis 11 and VMWare fusion: problem with default printer I'm not a VMWare Fusion expert by any means (I use VirtualBox instead). But I might be able to help. With VirtualBox, you can set up a USB printer using a Device Filters setting prior to booting the guest OS (see screen shot below). When you boot the virtual machine, the proper printer will be pre-selected.
