I'm not sure what you mean by "close x, expand and shrink tabs" on the menu bar are missing. If your menu bar is missing, then right-click in the space where the menu bar should be and a drop-down menu will appear. Make sure "Menu Bar" is checked.

Running Mepis 11 and FF 10.0.2. Menu bar is checked aqnd showing just not the expand shrink and close x.

Just a thought could I have inadvertently changed my screen resolution and it's just not showing enough screen at the top? If so, I don't know how I did it or how to get it back.

Ok, They are still there but up and out of sight. Why? I have no idea. I didn't change the resolution or anything that I can think of. How can I get the page size smaller so they are visible again? Thanks.

Oh, I think you mean the window decorations; i.e. the three buttons in the upper right corner that maximize, minimize, and close the window. You might have accidentally turned on the full-screen mode. Try hitting F11.

GoManutd beat me!!

Do you perhaps mean the titlebars "Minimize", "Maximize" and "Close" buttons?

Did you accidentally hide the Firefox window's titlebar and border?

If that's the case you can get it back with the keyboard shortcut:
Alt+F3 > Advanced, uncheck the "No Border" checkbox

Ok, I found how to change the resolution back to the 1280x720 and we are back in business. Still have no idea how I did that today. Thanks Kmathern but, I have no border on the screen. Thanks all

PS. You go to app launcher (kmenu)> settings> system settings> Display and Monitor and set the sizes there.

I had a similar problem once...somehow the title bar of my window got moved outside of the screen.

When this happens position the mouse over any portion of the window that you can see and hold down the Alt key and the left mouse button...you will be able to move the window around by dragging the mouse pointer.
