OK reinstalled and it is working better than ever, quick indexing considering how much it has to tabulate on this machine. Also quicker to start playing, fade-out/in very smooth and prefect timing for me on standard setting. You've made my day, thanks!

As a player it's fine. It's cute too, with lots of eye-candy. My attitude is about some key features that were removed.

Apparently another weak mind here as well. I too like the new amarok.

Re: Clementine falls in the water
I do not think it is a weak mind, just different strokes for different folks. I use Audacious as my prime player. I also have Clementine loaded up, but it seem to be having a lot of growing pains with it. I have not used Xmms in years, but I am thinking of loading it up and give it a run. So many choices to choose from in Linuxland. Nice to see Zevon's choice of players is now working right.

Re: Clementine falls in the water
I hope this finds you well.
I've been having trouble getting almost any version Amarok to work without it crashing on my M11 Asus A-Open machine, though I've yet to give Amarok 2.3.1-1 a go.
Amarok's cover manager is a no-show, as well.
Clementine 0.7.1? No problems. None whatsoever.
However, although I enjoy Clementine's simplicity, I really miss Amarok's versatility ... it's Podcast capability, for instance.
So, *sigh* I guess I'll keep trying.
Best regards, carlnyc
