 Re: Community Spirit
I have no interest in being a moderator on any subforum (my only interest is to demoderate things ), I've been moderator once on Mepislovers and I took only one or two moderator actions. The big brouhaha that made me leave that moderator position was that somebody claimed that I should watch what I say because of my moderator tag. I liked my freedom of speech more than the moderator tag. Forum moderators and admins have my sympathy though, it's a thankless job.

 Re: Community Spirit
Maybe it could be called the "Troll Hole". Instead of simply banning trolls, the moderators could restrict them to posting there but nowhere else. Then after posting a suitable apology, they could be reinstated. Sort of like purgatory.

 Re: Community Spirit
Not a bad idea :)
The problem is that posts from the troll hole will appear in the list of new posts.

It is not going to happen if I have anything to say about it.
