That's how it was initially set up. But then there were some problems (probably after an WikiMedia update) I'd like to see though if it works for new mepislovers.org users too.

I just tried my mepislovers ID and password, with no luck. (I hasten to add that this was a test - I don't know enough to do much editing, and have no time in the next 4 weeks, anyway.)

Even a fresh set of eyes to occasionally read and review content can be helpful, so thanks, Phil, for being around for the discussions.

Re: How to edit the Wiki
The Cite extension is installed on the wiki, the problem is, most wiki editors don't really understand how to use it. They are excited by things they read/see on twitter/facebook, other forums, other news sites, etc, or get told something by a friend, and they want to be the "first" to add it to the wiki... We have never been strict about the use of citations, and quite honestly, they can be cumbersome to deal with for inexperienced editors. While we prefer to have always accurate information, we also don't want to make this too difficult for editors, or they simply won't edit.

"We" who?
Our problem has never been people rushing to add the latest thing to the MEPIS Wiki, a problem that is rampant in Wikipedia. Would that it were so...
