When we have that extra copy of the latest Wiki, then the newest version can be pared of previous information. I do wonder, however, if we have an online presence right now for previous releases. Seems to me that paring previous release stuff from 8.5 might still be best done when we've completed the other tasks. Adding new or modified content to 8.5 now would be fine though. I just don't want to remove previous release content until we have the sandbox copies completed and made available on the main server. Sound reasonable?

Great to see progress. Time tables are a challenge for me right now so I'll be scarce for a week or two; also have an unexpected hardware hurdle to cross in the meantime. Lookin good though everyone. JBoman

Anybody able to take one or more of the copies and run with the editing process? Sure could use some help. My time is also quite limited as far as editing goes, though I will help when I can. I'm trying to coordinate this overall effort though to make sure we make progress. It has been a slowly evolving thing. I am hoping that a few that have put their hands up can now start helping, piece by piece, to edit those copies so that we can execute on our approved strategy.
Anyone able to put in anywhere from fifteen minutes to a couple of hours some time this week? Even a little bit helps, and of course, a lot of help makes things happen much faster.

I'm swamped at work and getting ready to go on 3 weeks of travels. I haven't had time to even transition to MEPIS 8.5
However, in the little I've been able to look at this stuff here are some quick comments:
1) Why not make each copy live now? A person who has MEPIS 7 only has the current wiki anyway, so why not send him to the sandbox version now. given the editing progress so far, it might be a while. On the dashboard page, explain what is happening.
2) The link to the sandbox is not so easy to find. I only link I've found is a post in this thread (I think)
3) To delete a page, we just make a comment in the discussion of that page?
Cheers

I like your first two a lot.
Why don't we all just say "wrong version."

 wiki copies
With the forum back up I checked the wiki and logged in ok but find no info in discussions about the wiki copies or how to access them for editing. Will someone in the know post a thread about accessing the wiki copies?. Thanks in advance

Links to the copies of the wiki for editing are here http://www.peregrinewebdesign.com/mediawiki
They are on a different server and were not down.

Could we get the current Wiki Help link in the left panel instead of the general link? We have put a lot of time into that.
Also, Team: here is where you can also lay out template/format information before you start. For quality and consistency, everybody needs to use a similar format as much as possible. For instance, a simple template for main pages could look like this:
==Introduction==
==Installation==
==Use==
==Tips and Tricks==
==Other==
==Links==
