Any chance to set up this in a Github? I think that would encourage participation (and code review).

I'm going to burn a DVD and try that on a different machine. The file system has no bearing on my test because I tried running it from /home/demo, which is a virtual native Linux file system.

Don't think that's it. I ran it directly from my FAT formatted usb stick.

Annoyingly, I can't get my 32bit Vbox to run the 64bit ISO even though the docs say it should work...

It depends on you CPU... I think it needs to support VT-x or AMD-V

It's a core 2 duo so it should and I've enabled it in vbox.

OK, tried booting my production laptop with a 64-bit Live DVD and got the same results, so it seems that it makes no difference what CPU you have, where it is run from, what the file system is or how you hold your tongue when you try to run it, the modified minstall binary will not work with the 64-bit Live system.

If you would post the modified source, I've got a 64bit "build" install I could compile a 64bit binary on.

I'm afraid I can't at the moment as I'm away from home for the holidays. The timing for the forum switch-over was not the best from my point of view.

I'd like to set up a github repo for the code when I get back...

This'll probably be my last post before next year. So have a enjoy your time off for those who have it :celebrate:

I will integrate it right away.

This has been needed for a long time.

Again, thanks,
