Okay... so... how does this sound. Mepis 11: Clarkson Mepis 11.5: Hammond Mepis 12: May Mepis 12.5: Pizzati Mepis 13: Jacobson Mepis 13.5: Page (no, I'm NOT sorry!)

Karnak the Magnificent. Hmmm--I do hope 11.0 is worthy of that name.

Re: Should the 'mlrepo' suffix still be used with CR package
Having both version and also name seems like overkill (doubling up). My vote would be ~mcr110-1, ~mcr110-2, ~mcr110-3 etc. I still like the straight 'mepis' designation rather than changing it with another name for each release. Why complicate it ... when we don't have to? Anyone will be able to see from the suffix what version it's compiled for. It also means we won't have to change existing structure for the CR or for changing the apt-preferences.

Agree. Names other than MEPIS and version just add confusion. I still cannot keep track of the different Ubuntu release names.

Re: Should the 'mlrepo' suffix still be used with CR package
I think that we need to do something like the older mlrepo version:
wicd (1.7.0+ds1-5mcr110) mepis; urgency=low
or add a plus sign:
wicd (1.7.0+ds1-5+mcr110) mepis; urgency=low
The squiggle (~) will make a Mepis version lower than the Squeeze version of wicd I patched, for example, and bumping the -5 to -6 is not really Debian kosher.
wicd (1.7.0+ds1-5~mcr110) mepis; urgency=low
Also adding another (-1) to the end of the package causes no end of trouble when attaching a source tarball, i.e.
wicd (1.7.0+ds1-5mcr110-1) mepis; urgency=low
is a no-go--we can have just one -dash in the version number, and it tries to find a mcr110 source tarball, can't, and errors out.
Edit: now I'm thinking combining the backports and the older mlrepo method would be best:
First backport version:
wicd (1.7.0+ds1-5mcr110+1) mepis; urgency=low
and the second version to fix some problem:
wicd (1.7.0+ds1-5mcr110+2) mepis; urgency=low
we need some divider between the "110" and the repo revision number, and the dash won't work.

After some testing & consideration I think you're right, Stevo foo (1.2.0-1mcr110+1) mepis; urgency=low it is.

OK with me - we'll need to update the wiki accordingly.

Are we ready to give Warren the repo info for inclusion (as he promised)?
