 Can someone review Installation with the B2?With Warren releasing M11 B2 momentarily, I am hoping someone would be willing to review the Installation sections.
This does not require any particular knowledge, so would be a good project for a beginner. All you have to do is click on the Manuals tab above and download the M11 draft Manual, print out Section 4.1 on installing, then do the install making note of any place that needs addition or changing. If you think an image would be particularly helpful at some point, note that as well. If someone else can also review Section 4.4 on MacTel installation, that would be terrific as well. Any takers? Re: Can someone review Installation with the B2? This part of the manual is very clear.
Instead of calling the parts Page 1, Page 2, Page 3, etc., you could use what's written on top of each page in the installer. 1a Choose disk for installation 1b Rearrange disk partitions (optional) 1c Select type of installation 2a Choose partitions 2b Preferences 3 Installation in progress 4 Select Boot Method 5 Common services to enable 6 Computer Network names 7a Localization Defaults 7b Configure Clock 8a Default User Account 8b Root (administrator) Account (Picked the names from M8, but think the installer is identical in M11) Then you will know exactly where you are in the installation process, no matter how confused you are with this new Mepis thing. You can just look at your screen and see the same words. Henry |

Re: Can someone review Installation with the B2? It is clear, but I know of at least one new item (localization) so it is a good time to have a new person review it from front to back.
