 Wacom Intuos
Has anyone gotten a Wacom Intuos tablet working correctly on Mepis 11?

 Re: Wacom Intuos
What is the difference between it and the Pen and Touch?

 Re: Wacom Intuos
My "mature" Wacom Graphite (no longer manufactured) is working on M11. I don't think the pressure option is working, but to me that is not a show stopping item.
To get it to work you need to go to synaptic and install "xserver-xorg-input-wacom"
My tablet worked from the live CD.
This is just a guess, but the difference between pen and touch is: "Pen" is using the stylus that comes with the tablet. "Touch" is I think some of the "newer" tablets have the circuitry incorporated that allows the tablet to function as a large" Touch Pad".

 Re: Wacom Intuos
I installed the kde-config-tablet which I understood is a gui for the Wacom tablet but I don't see it in any menu. Never mind...I found it.

 Re: Wacom Intuos
That is not a gui for the tablet it is the drivers for the tablet. The "kde-config-tablet" maybe a gui interface. I have not installed it so I cannot really give an answer to what it does or how well it works.
Steve
EDIT: brux, does your tablet work from the LiveCD?

 Re: Wacom Intuos
If you've installed kde-config-tablet I think something for configuring Graphic Tablets should show up in System-Settings in the Hardware/Input Devices section.

 Re: Wacom Intuos
just bought a wacom bamboo... installed the kde-config-tablet and xserver-xorg-input-wacom, but when i go into system settings the config for the tablet is under lost and found, not under hardware...
i've tried connecting the device before running system settings, tried rebooting - even with it connected - and still nothing.
has anyone got this working?

Sorry I did not get back to you pm. Did you try the other post listed just above? I don't have my tablet here at the moment and can give another test for you. It did work just fine as per the other post.
I'm taking off for a few days, back next Thursday, and can grab it and give if another go for you if you want.
