Re: Need MEPIS and Garmin info
I have a 60CSX at the office and will see what is needed to get it going. I did have it working with TangoGPS at one time.

Re: Need MEPIS and Garmin info
I just packaged garminplugin_0.3.3-1 for MEPIS 11 and am uploading it to the CR now.
I wasn't aware of it before.

Re: Need MEPIS and Garmin info
Great! Now if we can just get someone to test it and tell us how it works...

Re: Need MEPIS and Garmin info
I am not running a stock Mepis, (sid upgrade), so not sure it would install. But I will attempt it. Hopefully it will not blow away my Garmin software.

Re: Need MEPIS and Garmin info
if you have a Garmin unit, can you install the plugin in a VM of M11?

Re: Need MEPIS and Garmin info
That is a thought. I will need to install VirtualBox. I cannot say when I will get to it. I seem to be burning the candle at both ends these days.

Re: Need MEPIS and Garmin info
. FWIW....
I have an older eTrex Legend with a serial interface, and a USB-to-serial adapter with a Windows driver. MapSource works fine in a Win2K VM (VirtualBox) in M11.

Re: Need MEPIS and Garmin info
Its tough when there's nothing to add to the wiki cause it just works Using Synaptic with the below repository enabled I see that timkb4cq uploaded it at least an hour ago, yet I cannot seem to find it in Synaptic using search Am I missing something?

The repository doesn't update in real time. There's a daily update at about 7pm EDT (2300 UTC). Check again in about 40 minutes.
