Post Very confusing
I'm running Mepis 8.5 and I'm trying to learn/enable/set up/use... multiple desktops.
I found this documentation....
Multiple Desktops

Many of the things I'm reading do not match what I see on my system. For example...
Quote:
Right-click on an empty spot on your current desktop background. From the menu choose Configure Desktop. For Mepis 8.5 use System Settings --> Display --> Multiple Desktops --> Number of desktops. Click the arrows to the right until you have the number of Desktops you want.
There's no "Multiple Desktops" option

Quote:
Right-click an empty spot on your kicker panel at the bottom of the screen and choose Configure Panel.
There's no "Configure Panel" option.

Is there a better place to find out about Multiple Desktops ?

I am no longer running MEPIS 8.5, but I think in both cases you might have to first "unlock widgets" from the right-click menu or from the cashew in the upper right corner.

that is correct for KDE 4.3
and you do not have to unlock widgets,
The link in your post is for KDE3xx, not KDE4
try this one.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... Still confused. I found your reference (attachment) and the "Multiple Desktops" under System Settings --> Desktop... Not System Settings --> Display...

I also read a reference to left-clicking the "Cashew" and selecting Zoom out. I did not know to use the Cashew in the upper right so when I tried this with the Cashew down below there was no Zoom-out option.

But, I've already learned a few things. I'm getting closer.

Thanks !!
