networkmanager is not installed
this does not apply as i am not working on a Mepis installation...what i am working on is a Debian with xfce installation. there is no KDE libs installed on this installation. the laptop does not have enough memory for Mepis 11 & the only way i can install a Linux distribution is with CDR media only.
