 Removal of Plymount W/Upgrades
Today’s upgrades on my Mepis 11 KDE 4.6.5 system brought 8 packages and the removal of Plymouth and the Plymouth-themes-mepis11.
Anyone else get this?

 Re: Removal of Plymount W/Upgrades
There are definitely some issues with the new experimental gtk2 & gtk3 packages in the KDE 4.6.5 experimental test repo. You can either roll back the libgtk2 update, or you can install libgtk-3-0 which will let you reinstall plymouth. If you deal with .svg files at all a roll back is the better option at the moment.

 Re: Removal of Plymount W/Upgrades
I am running Danum's 4.7 remaster and have a similar problem. I have not done the upgrades awaiting a solution.
Removing Plymouth will cause problems, not knowing what Plymouth accomplishes?

 Re: Removal of Plymount W/Upgrades
I'm running KDE 4.6.5 and recent upgrades have gone through without problems. I've seen nothing of Plymouth changes. I have the experimental repo enabled, but I have 'Prefer highest' in my preferences.

 Re: Removal of Plymount W/Upgrades
A new librsvg now in the KDE 4.6.5 repo fixes the various svg file problems with the gtk2 upgrade. Marking libgtk-3-0 for installation before you approve the upgrade lets you unmark the removal of plymouth.

Using libgtk-3-0 after the fact, then I can add Plymount? libgtk-3-0: Depends: libcairo-gobject2 (>=1.10.0) but it is not installable JR

 Re: Removal of Plymount W/Upgrades
Tried to follow this, but I was not able to unmark the removal of Plymouth or the Mepis theme I obviously have something installed that is causing this, because my other KDE 4.6.5 machine(upgrade thru the CR's) had no problems upgrading.
